we call him snorticus
Well...perhaps occasionally...in a very loving manner.
The little guy's a bit stuffy right now, and while it's sad it is also a little funny (see below).
At his two week checkup this morning he has increased in stature to just shy of 8.5 lbs and 22 inches long.
At our two week check-in, Mr. Clean and I are having fun waking up slightly delusional at 2:00 in the morning - I seem prone to thinking that the baby is in bed with us instead of in his crib and get slightly panicky when no baby is there; Mr. Clean was once convinced he had a pacifier in his hand and tried to give it to me several times before realizing that it was not in fact there at all. :)
We love seeing the little guy practice smiling in his sleep and sometimes it's super hard not to pick him up and snuggle him when he's fast asleep and likely shouldn't be bothered. I just want to hold him all the time!

and...we have a baby!
Our little man arrived on December 4th. Grandma made it out (quite literally) in the nick of time!
8 lbs 3 oz, 21 inches long, and a feisty little attitude!
We all headed home December 5th.
We enjoyed being home but took daily trips to the pediatrician to monitor jaundice levels. I hated seeing our little man get his blood taken, but he took it like a champ.
We headed to hospital no. 2 December 8th for jaundice treatments.
We headed home again on December 10th - for good!
Boy, was he glad to be out of that light box!
We got to enjoy a little more time with Grandma before she headed home on the 12th
And now it's time to settle in before Christmas.
We've obviously already received our gift.
Lots and lots of love and gratitude to those who have been thinking of us since his arrival.
Additionally, I'd like to send a supersized thank you to my mom. Her being here with us was exceptionally comforting and her wisdom was much appreciated. I really don't know what we would have done without her. Thank you Mom!
